Shubra Aiyappa is excited about her forthcoming Kannada film, Vajrakaya, where shes teaming up with Shivarajkumar. In fact, after she was roped in, filmmaker Harsha was so impressed with her personality that he made the lyricist write a song for her. I was thrilled when Harsha told me that the lyrics were written keeping me in mind. No wonder there are references to my height (laughs).
Moreover, Dhanush had sung the song, where I play Shivarajkumars dream girl. Its going to be a good debut for me in Kannada, says Shubra.
The actress, however, confesses that shell always be biased towards Telugu cinema where she made her debut. Having acted in a film each in Telugu, Tamil and a Kannada, I must confess that my heart lies in Telugu film industry. I feel at home here and I love shooting in Hyderabad. People are very warm and welcoming, she says.
In her upcoming Telugu film, Yevvanam Oka Fantasy, the actress is paired opposite Arvind Krishna and the two play a young married couple. The film is how a young girl, who gets married to a rich guy, brings about a big change in his life. It was great shooting with Arvind and we got along quite well on the sets. I even shot a song even though I was down with fever. Can you imagine what it feels like to act all coy and give romantic expressions when you down with fever? It was hilarious and Ill never forget that incident (laughs), Shubra signs off.
