I never thought I'll fall in love: Uday Kiran
Tollywood's lover-boy Uday Kiran, who is used to wooing his leading ladies on the big screen, says he never thought his real life love story too would have such a filmi twist. 'I have done only love stories in my career, but I never expected one such story to play out in my life!' quips Uday Kiran, who talks about how he met his lady love.
'I never expected that my life will turn around in a single moment.

I have always watched my close friends fall in love, but I never thought it would happen to me. I met Visheeta through common friends at a party. After that, we started chatting online and got to know each other better. The best part about the whole thing is we never intended to date each other. We have been friends for years, but only a few months ago, in a moment, we realised we are perfect for each other. That's when we figured, we've always been in love,' he says.
Uday Kiran's family was all too happy when they learnt of his love story. 'We were always looked at as more than just good friends. Our parents knew how close we were. So, when we spoke to them about marriage, they readily agreed,' he says. The actor reveals that he loves the fact that Visheeta is not his fan and didn't watch his movies before she met him. 'She started watching them all only after I came into her life. She is not a fan and was never starstruck by the fact that I'm a Tollywood actor. She always talks to me as a friend and never treated me as an actor. I didn't have to show any grand gestures of love to impress her. She knows the real me... my strengths and weaknesses. I have met many people and everyone's impression of me is based on my career. But Visheeta sees me differently,' says a love-struck Uday Kiran, who has had a rough few years in Tollywood. 'I don't let anything kill my spirit. I know that a lot of people take inspiration from the fact that I was just a common man with no filmi background, who turned into a star.
No matter how low I feel, I know that my time will come again one day. Even when I hit a dry spell in the industry, I kept myself busy with my fitness regimes, diet and my personal life. I always kept my mind and body in control. I have learnt many lessons in my life and I feel that even the worst of times just add to your experience. It's my self-belief and my discipline that made me a better person when I was down and out. And at such a point, Visheeta came as a God-sent gift.'
The actor says that his impending marriage is a sign of all good things to come in his life. 'Now, I truly believe in 'Lady Luck'. From the last couple of months onwards, everything in life has fallen into place and things are looking positive. I can only say that,' says Uday Kiran, who is busy with his wedding preparations currently. 'The ceremony will take place on October 24 at 4.28 am at the Annavaram Temple. It will be private affair with just family and close friends. We are not planning anything fancy,' he says.
The actor is happy with his career path too. 'I have two films lined-up after Jai Sriram and both are completely different. The current audiences want fresh subjects and not just routine love stories. So, I am looking out for interesting scripts,' he says.
