While deliberating over the aptness of the title, Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha (KGVPG), the biggest concern for the filmmakers was: Is the title too long? It was child artiste Naini who convinced actor Nani and director Hanu Raghavapudi that the title would strike a chord with the audience. When Nani asked Naini what the films name was, she responded in a flash, Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha.

They knew then that the title would work. After all if a child could remember the title, then anyone can.
The film is a quirky love story set in the factionist backdrop of Anatapur. Nani plays the protagonist Krishna, a meek guy who is in love with Mahalakshmi (Mehreen). How Krishna overcomes the worst fears of his life and sets off on the adventure of his life for Mahalakshmi is the crux of the film, explains Hanu.
His maiden film Andala Rakshasi won him a lot of critical acclaim for the brooding nature of romance in the film. But the romance in KGVPG will be nothing like it assures Hanu saying, If Andala Rakshasi was poetry, then Krishna Gadi... is prose. Its a lot more fun, he says signing off.
