K Raghavendra Rao completes 45 years in the Telugu Film Industry

Legendary director K Raghavendra Rao has reached another milestone in the film industry.
Raghavendra Rao who is known as Darshakendra has completed 45 years as a director in Tollywood. His first movie, Babu starring Shoban Babu released 45 years ago. Reminiscing Babu, he said, “Time flies and how! It has been a phenomenal 45 years since the release of my first film #BABU...This film was the foundation block to many more films and collaborations over time. I thank all my producers, heroes and heroines for the support all these hears. Blessed.” (sic)

The film was written by KS Prakash Rao. This film’s huge success set the precedence for him to direct more blockbusters like Adavi Ramudu, Jagadeka Veerudu Athi Loks Sundari and Annamaya. He has also worked on Bollywood successes like Himmatvala.
