Kalyan Ram joining hands with ‘Majnu’ director for a family drama?

Kicking off from ‘Toli Choopulone’ in 2003, Kalyan Ram’s film journey has been a roller-coaster ride filled with ups and downs. After the successive debacles of ‘Ism’ and ‘Naa Nuvve’ barring the average grosser ‘MLA’, the 40-year-old actor is firmly determined to bag a solid hit in 2019 and looks like his forthcoming release ‘118’ has all the ingredients to strike the right chord with modern viewers.Directed by popular cinematographer KV Guhan, the slick and stylishly cut trailer has already garnered positive responses from all corners.
Mostly starring in actioners and potboilers, Kalyan Ram is looking forward to exploring more genres in his upcoming projects. Rumoured sources suggest that the ‘Pataas’ star has given his nod to a family drama narrated by Virinchi Varma and the untitled film might go on floors in the coming days. The pre-production formalities are reportedly in full swing and an official announcement regarding the project is expected soon.
After the release of 118, Kalyan Ram will kick-start his preparations for this family entertainer laced with emotions. Virinchi Varma has previously helmed ‘Uyyala Jampala’ and Nani’s ‘Majnu’. Haarika and Haasine Creations are expected to bankroll this film.
