Actor Nagarjuna has taken legal action against Telangana Minister
Konda Surekha by filing a defamation suit against the political leader. The case has been filed at the Nampally court and taking to X,
Naga Chaitanya shared a copy of the complaint.
In the case filed, Nagarjuna accused Konda Surekha for making the statements that damaged the reputation of the Akkinenei family. He filed a criminal and civil defamation and even made a suitseeking financial compensation for the harm inflicted.
The female minister speaking about the demolition of the N Convention center in August, reportedly stated that KT Rama Rao had asked for sexual favours from
Samantha and when she denied, Nagarjuna forced her which led to a rift in the family following which she divorced Naga Chaitanya. She also alleged that many females, including Rakul Preet Singh are affected in their film career because of
KTR.
However, many actors, politicians and film fraternities came forward to condemn the statemement made by the leader. Nagarjuna, Amala, Naga Chaitanya, Samantha all took to social media to call the remarks irrelevant and false. Nagarjuna also asked the minister to respect the privacy of actors. The Telugu film chamber will also be sending a legal letter to the minister for making deragatory remarks.
