Nikhil Siddhartha and Lavanya Tripathi's 'Mudra' now named 'Arjun Suravaram'
After the recent fiasco with an old Jagapathi Babu’s film being released with the same title and logo as that of Nikhil Siddhartha and Lavanya Tripathi’s ‘Mudra’, the filmmakers have opted to change the title to ‘Arjun Suravaram’.
Announcing the title change and release date with a new poster, Nikhil wrote on his social media, “#ArjunSuravaram. #FreshPoster is here. Coming to Theatres this March 29th.

Plz Do spread the Word.” (sic) Even before that, the filmmakers and actor had asked fans to suggest a new title and announcing that the makers have taken suggestions into consideration, he wrote, “Thanks to each nd every one of u for ur wonderful TITLE suggestions.. we went through almost thousands of suggestions on Social Media.. but we have got the one which was liked by the whole team. Today 12 pm keep checking the media space for our #FreshLook #FreshTitle.” (sic)
The film is now named after the name of Nikhil’s character in the film – Arjun Lenin Suravaram. When Jagapathi Babu’s film was being released, many theatres and even the booking sites had used Nikhil’s film’s poster and even the cast list. The actor had to take to social media to confirm that the film was not releasing that weekend. Now that the film is slated for release on March 29, it remains to be seen how it’ll fare.
