Nithiin completes 17 years in Tollywood! Credits Teja and Jayam

At just 18 years of age, Nithiin grabbed the golden opportunity to play the protagonist in director Teja’s ‘Jayam’. The romantic-drama helmed on a shoe-string budget managed to stun the film fraternity by registering some astonishing figures at the box-office. It also created a cult following among youth and paved the way for more rich-poor love stories in Tollywood.
Bankrolled by Teja himself, the muhurtham shot of Jayam was held at 2.22 pm on this very day exactly 17 years ago. Remembering the memory, the 35-year-old actor went nostalgic and shared a heartfelt post on social media, thanking director Teja for an amazing and unforgettable experience.

Despite an impressive opening with super-hit flicks like ‘Dil’ and ‘Sye’, Nithiin’s career went in doldrums after a sequence of flops at the ticket counters. After much effort, he bounced back into form with the 2012 blockbuster ‘Ishq’ followed by a series of super-hits. Presently, this most-eligible bachelor is prepping up to kick-start ‘Bheeshma’ with Venky Kudumula of ‘Chalo’ fame.
