Director Anand Shankar
is a married man! Anand, who is known for his films like Arima Nambi, Iru Mugan and Nota, got married to
Divyanka Jeevanantham
in a private ceremony in the presence of family members. A photo of the couple with the parents and film celebs has surfaced online.
On June 15, the
NOTA director
issues a press note announcing his engagement to Divyanka. They hosted an engagement party on the same day in Yacht in Dubai.
His note read, ‘’ My first ever post about my private life. Usually, I am too closed.. too private- and shy. Although at this moment, I really felt like sharing my happiness with all. Need all your blessings. Always. Dubai 2018 #HappyDeepavali’’.
He also added that he is in love with Divyanka, and she accepted his love proposal. After dating for a while, he announced their marriage will be held on July 11, 2019.
Anand’s marriage
is the talk of the town now. Anand Shankar is the grandson of theatre artist Komal Swaminathan.
He began his career in the industry as an assistant director for maverick
AR AR Murugadoss
and made his directorial debut with Vikram Prabhu starrer Arima Nambi, which was a blockbuster hit. He shot to fame with Chiyaan Vikram’s Iru Mugan, which had Nayanthara and Nithya Menen playing female leads. Anand’s last release was Vijay Deverakonda’s political thriller NOTA, which was a bilingual for both the actor and the director.
