Directed by
Hanu Raghavapudi, ‘
Padi Padi Leche Manasu’, starring
Sharwanand and
Sai Pallavi releases today, featuring music by Vishal Chandrasekhar. The film’s teaser, trailer and music were received exceptionally well, with many looking forward to catch the magical love story on-screen. While fans might have their reasons to watch the film, we give you five reasons why you should:
Hanu Raghavapudi’s magic Anyone who has seen ‘Andala Raksashi’ cannot deny that there’s a kind of magic and tenderness to the love stories Hanu creates.
And judging by the trailer and song promos, he might have just recreated the magic of love with his one too. Talking to Hyderabad Times, the director had said, “Love is a beautiful and common emotion with each person having a story of their own to tell. This is mine because it has come from my own ideologies.”
Sharwanand and Sai Pallavi’s actingSharwanand and Sai Pallavi have both, through their careers, more than proved their mettle when it comes to acting. With Sharwanand nailing his roles in ‘Mahanubhavudu’ and ‘Shatamanam Bhavati’ and Sai Pallavi in ‘Fidaa’ and ‘MCA’ it is only common that fans are excited for this one. Casting them was a conscious choice too as the director told Hyderabad Times, “I did not want someone who would act out my characters; I wanted someone who was so natural that they would live them. Sharwa and Sai Pallavi fit the bill perfectly and the emotions they portray will be as real as it can get.”
Vishal Chandrasekhar’s tunes While the album of Padi Padi Leche Manasu is captivating, it is more so because of Krishna Kanth’s lyrics and Vishal Chandrasekhar’s music. The songs are some of the best churned out by Tollywood this year with Padi Padi Leche Manasu, Kallolam and Emai Poyave standing out in particular. “Vishal delivered a fantastic album and Krishna Kanth penned excellent lyrics,” said the director.
The mystic vibe of Kolkata“When you tell a love story, the ambience should matter and when one talks of love, they talk of Paris. But for me, Kolkata is it!” the director told Hyderabad Times, adding that the film will capture the spirit of the place well. “I stayed for 6 months in Kolkata in 2007 as an AD and fell in love with every nook and corner of the place. In fact, Padi Padi is the first of my three stories based at the place to come to fruition,” he said.
The relatable factorWhile the above four reasons are enough for one to go check out the film in theatres (no piracy please), the best reason to watch the film is that there is no genre as relatable as a love story is. Above all, at the end of the day, ‘Padi Padi Leche Manasu’ is a love story from beginning to end, charting the lives of two individuals in love yet with different ideologies causing rifts in their relationships. And what could be more relatable than that?
