Ajith for the Telugu remake of Kollywood blockbuster film ‘Vedalam’ and ‘Billa’ fame
Meher Ramesh will be the frontrunner to direct it. While grapevine suggested that the official announcement will be made on Chiru’s birthday (August 22), it didn’t happen much to the disappointment of fans.
However, here comes an interesting revelation which confirms that the project is certainly on cards.
Power Star
Pawan Kalyan turned 49 the other day and social media was flooded with birthday wishes from fans, family members and several personalities from the South film fraternity. Responding to Meher Ramesh’s post, the ‘Vakeel Saab’ actor thanked the director for the birthday wishes and wished all the best for the latter’s forthcoming film with Chiranjeevi. The news is currently going viral on social media. However, there is no clarification, whether it is ‘Vedalam’ remake or not.
Regarding the collaboration, a source told a leading portal that Chiranjeevi is impressed with the changes made to the original script to suit his image and regional sensibilities. He also reportedly gave a green signal to Meher Ramesh to begin the pre-production formalities. The much-anticipated remake is expected to go on floors once the 65-year-old actor wraps up his present film ‘Acharya’.
Set against the backdrop of Dharmasthali, the first look poster of the Koratala Siva directorial showcased the ‘Sye Raa’ star from the backside as he attacks a group of goons with a knife in his hand. According to the poster, the film comes with the caption “A Comrade's Quest for Dharma”. Meanwhile, status regarding Chiru’s Telugu remake of Malayalam film ‘Lucifer’ is yet to be known.
