Actress
Poorna, who shot to fame with Telugu with films like Seema Tapakai and Avunu, is a trained classical dancer and now, shes planning to make one of her long cherished dreams come true. Ive been planning to start a dance school for a long time now. Currently,my father is helping me set up one in my hometown, Kannur in Kerala, she reveals.
Talking about her fascination for dance, Poorna says, I hail from an orthodox family, but they encouraged me to learn various dance forms. In fact, I became popular in Kerala after I took part in a reality dance show and despite making my foray into films as an actress I make it a point to take part in stage shows whenever I find time. Im blessed to have a supportive family and friends, who keep pushing me to never give up dancing whatever happens. Ask her if its easier to dance in films since shes a trained dancer and pat comes the reply, Not at all. The choreography in films is completely different. I find it easier when I am asked to dance to classical music, but its a different ball game altogether (laughs).
Shell soon be seen in Ravi Babus Avunu 2, which is a sequel to the critically acclaimed horror film Avunu. We shot the whole
film in a single schedule. I am afraid of dark and cant stand horror films; however, I tend to forget all that whenever Im on the sets of the film. In fact, I would love to act in as many sequels of the film as possible, thanks to Ravi Babu
. Hes an amazing director and I owe a lot to him. The film will be even better than the original, she says signing of.
