Popular production house bags the rights of Johar

‘Johar’ has grabbed the eyeballs of many with its riveting posters and a concept video featuring all the actors. Starring Esther Anil of ‘Drishyam’ fame and Naina Ganguly as the female leads, the political satire boards noted actors like Subhalekha Sudhakar, Easwari Rao and Chaitanya Krishna in supporting roles. The plot of the film revolves around five characters and the caption ‘History is a set of lies agreed upon’ promises the proceedings to be interesting.
In what can be a big boost up to the makers of Johar, noted production house Abhishek Pictures has acquired the theatrical and non-theatrical rights of Johar for both the Telugu states. Directed by Teja Marni, the film is bankrolled by Bhanu Sandeep Marni under the Dharma Surya Pictures banner. While the cinematography is handled by Jagadeesh Cheekati, Priyadarshan is composing the music.
According to reports, Johar is a social drama revolving around the subject of how constructing a statue affects the lives of the people.
In 2019, Abhishek Pictures has presented and released many successful films like ‘Rakshasudu’ and 'George Reddy'.
