Priyanka Jawalkar reveals the release date of her upcoming film Gamanam

A few days ago, Shriya Saran and Nithya Menen’s first-looks from debutant director Sujana Rao’s multi-starrer Gamanam which also sees Shiva Kandukuri and Priyanka Jawalkar and in the lead roles were released.
Ever since then, movie buffs have been curious about the film which will release not just in Telugu, but also Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam. Shriya Saran’s first-look sees her in a traditional look, wearing a saree and a bottu.Nithya Menen, who revealed she has a ‘lovely quick cameo’ in the film plays a Carnatic singer called Shailaputri Devi. Shiva and Priyanka’s looks from the film are yet to be revealed.
Priyanka Jawalkar, who made her debut in Taxiwaala, recently held a Q&A session on her social media for fans and revealed some interesting details. When asked when her film might release, she let the cat out of the bag and said, “Next month mostly @gamanamthemovie,” (sic) making many believe that the film will hit OTT soon as theatres are still shut. When asked how she felt to work with the team of Gamanam, she replied, “Blessed. Esp ilaiyaraja sir..” (sic) And when asked what she liked the most about the film, she replied, “The team!! You should be fortunate to get a team who treats you like family.” (sic)

Talking to Hyderabad Times, director Sujana had revealed that Gamanam is an anthology that tells three stories. While Shriya Saran will headline one of the stories, the other two will feature Shiva Kandukuri and Priyanka Jawalkar respectively. The director had also revealed that she took her time to zero in on the perfect cast for the film. The film sees music by Ilaiyaraaja, dialogues by Sai Madhav Burra and cinematography by Gnana Sekhar VS.
