During the Deeksha days, Ram Charan follows many strict customs. He wears the Ayyappa mala every day during this time. Additionally, keeping his lifestyle simple and calm, he wears only black clothes and walks barefoot as per a Moneycontrol report. During this time, he only eats pure vegetarian food and focuses on peace, devotion and self-control.

Recently, Ram Charan attended a family celebration hosted by Allu Arjun for his brother Allu Sirish ahead of the pre-wedding events. It is reported that Ram Charan followed every rule of the Deeksha, even at the party. He wore the mala and black outfit. Interestingly, Ram Charan has followed this Deeksha twice every year for over twenty years.

For the unversed, Ayyappa Deeksha is a 41-day holy vow followed by devotees of Lord Ayyappa. People do this before going to the Sabarimala temple in Kerala. During these days, devotees live a very simple life.
