In a series of tweets, Ram Gopal Varma said that the film industry did not give a proper farewell to Krishnan Raju and also mentioned that this is the most selfish film industry. He also requested them to halt film shootings for at least two days as a token of respect for Krishnam Raju.
He tweeted, "My shouts to the most selfish Telugu film industry that can't stop shooting for a single day for a great actor and a great producer like Krishnam Raju who gave great films like 'Bhakta Kannappa', 'Katakatala Rudrayya', 'Bobbili Brahmana' and 'Tandra Paparayudu'. Shame on you. To Krishna, Murali Mohan, Chiranjeevi, Mohan Babu, Balayya, Prabhas, Mahesh and Kalyan, I am pleading on this matter, in future, the same situation will happen to all of you."

He added, "A grand farewell that cannot be given to a great artist is like spitting on ourselves. Even if you don't have a mind, it's okay. At least if we want our death to be worth it, let us give value to a gentleman like the departed Krishnam Raju garu. Let's stop shooting for at least two days. Ours is an industry that has stopped shooting for months due to skyrocketing costs.''

It remains to be seen whether the industry bigwigs will take RGV’s words seriously or not.
