Rana Daggubati and Miheeka Bajaj get hitched in an intimate wedding at Hyderabad
Rana Daggubati is no more the most eligible bachelor in the Telugu film fraternity. On Saturday night, the 35-year-old handsome hunk tied the knot with his fiancé Miheeka Bajaj in a close-knit wedding ceremony organised at the Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad. Keeping with the protocols warranted by the prevailing pandemic, sanitiser stands, face masks and disinfectant tunnels were installed at the venue and social distancing norms were followed. The glittering ceremony was attended by the couple’s family members and a few friends from film circles. Samantha Akkineni, Naga Chaitanya, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan and Upasana have made it to the starry celebration. The whole street leading upto the Ramanaidu Studios and the wedding venue was cordoned off by security personnel.

Speaking to Hyderabad Times, a member of the bride's family tells us, "Miheeka spent some quality family time at home in the morning. Normally the family would've gone to a temple in the morning but due to the Covid-19 situation, she offered her prayers at their in-house temple. Later she sought the blessings of her ancestors and then spent some time with her parents. Everybody were emotional that she's leaving home but they were extremely happy for her at the same time."

Given that the monsoon season is underway and rains have been lashing Hyderabad over the last few days, the hosts ensured that the entire wedding venue has been water-proofed so rain doesn't play spoilsport. A close relative of Miheeka, who is overseeing the wedding preparations, tells us, "Miheeka and her mother are event planners themselves so they have been extremely thorough in the preps. They have made sure the entire wedding venue has turned water-proof so that even if it rains, it will not affect the festivities in any way."

Admitting that it’s the right time to get married, the 35-year-old actor stated that his fiancé lives just 3 kms from his residence. Spilling the beans about his much-awaited wedding, he said “I think I am growing up and it's time to get married. My fiancée Miheeka lives 3 km away from my house, and we're in the same vicinity. Sometimes, you know when things are going smoothly. And I don't question it when things are going correctly. She's lovely, and we make a great pair. We draw positive energy from one another. I am getting married on August 8. On the personal front, it's been the best time of my life, getting married to Miheeka. It's been pretty awesome.”

Speaking to E Times, Arpita Mehta, the designer behind the Mehendi ensemble of the bride-to-be said "Miheeka is a stunning girl with great poise. Keeping her feminine and playful personality in mind, we designed a lehenga that was grand but not the usual lehenga choli with a dupatta." Also, the colour raspberry pink is what Miheeka took to instantly and she looked absolutely stunning, Arpita added.

"Miheeka and her mother Bunty Bajaj both have a really fine and subtle taste and wanted something very elegant for the wedding," says Anamika. "We decided to do a cream and gold lehenga with a coral head veil. The lehenga is a hand done zardosi with the finest form of chikankari and gold metalwork teamed with a woven gold dupatta," she further explained.
