The shooting of
Rana Daggubati’s upcoming film ‘Viraata Parvam’ is on the verge of completion and the 36-year-old actor has begun dubbing for his role from Thursday. Sharing a couple of pics from the studio, he wrote “Dubbing begins for #ViraataParvam”. While the post-production formalities are currently underway, the film is expected to hit the theaters in summer.
In the latest poster released on Bhogi, a saree-clad
Sai Pallavi can be holding the hand of Rana who happens to be a Naxal leader in the film.
Viraata Parvam has been in the making for more than a year and the outbreak of COVID has only delayed the proceedings. However, the shooting of the film proceeded at a rapid pace from November and the first look teaser showcased the ‘Baahubali’ actor as a gun-toting Naxalite commander with the name, Comrade Ravanna.
Directed by Venu Udugula of ‘Needi Naadi Oke Katha’ fame, the intense action saga features an ensemble star cast like Nivetha Pethuraj, Priyamani, Nanditha Das, Naveen Chandra, Zareena Wahab, Rahul Ramakrishna, Eswari Rao and Sai Chand. The film is set in the interiors of Telangana and sheds light on the Naxal issues, specifically the moral dilemma that prevailed during these last years.

While ‘Mahanati’ cinematographer Dani Sanchez-Lopez is handling the camera for Virata Parvam and Suresh Bobbili is composing the music, Hollywood stunt director Stefan Richter has been reportedly roped in to choreograph the action sequences. The film is jointly bankrolled by D Suresh Babu and Sudhakar Cherukuri.
Besides this project, Rana is gearing up for the release of his upcoming trilingual ‘Haathi Mere Saathi’ titled as Aranya in Telugu. The action-adventure will hit the ticket counters on March 26.
