Rana Daggubati's 'Virata Parvam' has created a buzz among his fans after the release of its teaser a few weeks ago. New reports indicate that the movie would be released on a popular OTT platform. The movie was supposed to hit theatres in April this year, but the second wave of coronavirus has put everything on a standstill, including Tollywood.
The report published on a news website revealed that the streaming rights of 'Virata Parvam' have been bagged by a popular OTT platform for a staggering Rs 30 crore. If it is true, 'Virata Parvam' is among the first Tollywood movies to have sold its streaming rights at this outrageous price. It is being reportedly said that the film will be streaming on OTT soon. However, there is no clarity if the film will only release on the OTT platform or hit the theatres too.

The teaser of the film was released on March 18, and it has received an overwhelming response from Rana’s fans. The teaser has crossed 40 million views on YouTube and counting. The first single 'Kolu kolu' composed by Suresh Bobbili for 'Virata Parvam', which was also earlier released by the makers, and it performed well on all streaming platforms. The film, directed by Venu Udugual of 'Needi Naadi Oke Katha' fame, is based on the social conditions of the Telangana region in 1980-1990.
