‘Rangasthalam’ diva
Samantha seems to be following the footsteps of Kollywood’s new lady superstar
Nayanthara. The 31-year-old actress, who has shown her affinity towards content-driven films like ‘Raju Gari Gadhi 2’, ‘Mahanati’ and the latest ‘U-Turn’, is rumoured to star in the 2014 South Korean blockbuster ‘Miss Granny’.
While an official confirmation is awaited, ‘Kalyana Vaibhogame’ fame Nandini Reddy might direct the comedy-drama which will be jointly bankrolled by
Suresh Babu and Sunitha Tati.
‘Miss Granny’ showcases the story of a grandma who magically finds herself in the body of her 20-year-old self after clicking a picture in a mysterious studio.
After the fairy-tale wedding with
Naga Chaitanya last year, Samantha Akkineni has been focussing more on performance-oriented roles rather than the usual glamorous stuff. She is said to be mighty impressed with the script and her characterisation in ‘Miss Granny’.
