Santosh Sivan invited to join the elite ASC

Ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan has another feather in his cap! He become the first film personality from the Asia Pacific region to be invited to join the elite American Society of Cinematographer (ASC). Entry to this club is by invitation only, based on an individual���������s body of work. Currently, the membership roster comprises 302 cinematographers who hail from about 20 different countries.It is learnt that one of the members of the ASC recommended Santosh Sivan���������s name after he noticed the cinematographer���������s work in ���������Terrorist��������� and ���������Before the Rains���������.
Santosh Sivan is currently shooting AR Murugadoss��������� ���������Thupaaki��������� in Mumbai. Last year, his film ���������Urumi��������� was well received by the critics and the flick was screened at several film festivals in India and across the globe.
