After Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared the first look of the film, today Nani unveiled the trailer of ‘Saraswathi’. The film marks actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar’s debut as a director and also features Prakash Raj. It shows a woman who is not asking for justice but taking it.
About the teaser
The trailer opens with Varalaxmi sitting in a police station. She says her daughter Saraswathi has gone missing. “I dropped her at school myself, but when I went to pick her up, they say that she is not there,” she says. Soon, Priyamani and Kishore also search for their children in the same school. Fear and panic fill the screen. Police officers start the search. Varalaxmi tells them her daughter will never go anywhere without telling her. With no proof, she feels lost. She meets advocate Ramanunajam, played by Prakash Raj. At first, he refuses the case. Later, he agrees to fight for her. The story shows a long court battle and deep pain.
Justice takes a dark turn
The trailer ends with a strong turn. Varalaxmi picks up a gun and learns to shoot. She says, “Not every woman will be a Saraswathi. If there is a need, she will even turn into a Kali.”
