SS Rajamouli decides not to release Mahesh Babu starrer 'SSMB29' in two parts: Report

Renowned filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s next directorial venture, starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj, is shaping up to be one of Indian cinema’s most ambitious projects. In a recent update, Rajamouli is planning to make the movie a single part, dismissing rumours about a two-part film.According to Pinkvilla, sources close to the project reveal that Rajamouli has opted to tell the story in a single film instead of splitting it into two parts. The decision stems from his belief that many filmmakers have been using multi-part narratives unnecessarily, often stretching content for commercial gain. “He aims to deliver a film as grand as SSMB 29 in a single instalment,” a source revealed. Similar to his global hit RRR, the Mahesh Babu starrer will also have a runtime of around 3 hours and 30 minutes.Designed as an intricate blend of mythology, adventure, and fiction, SSMB 29 is expected to be Rajamouli’s most extensive film to date.
