The sudden demise of popular dubbing artist Srinivasa Murthy has left everyone in shock. Srinivasa Murthy, who has lent his voice to several stars in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, passed away on Friday in Chennai after following a cardiac arrest. The iconic voice artist that passed away in the wee hours of January 27 at his residence in Chennai, was paid tribute by Tamil superstar Suriya Sivakumar.

The sudden demise of popular dubbing artist Srinivasa Murthy has left everyone in shock. Srinivasa Murthy, who has lent his voice to several stars in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, passed away on Friday in Chennai after following a cardiac arrest.
The iconic voice artist that passed away in the wee hours of January 27 at his residence in Chennai, was paid tribute by Tamil superstar Suriya Sivakumar.

Soon after the news of his demise broke on the Internet, he was paid tribute by Suriya. He took to Twitter and paid his emotional tribute to the artist.
Suriya wrote, ''This is a huge personal loss! Srinivasamurthy Garu’s voice & emotions gave life to my performances in Telugu. Will miss you Dear Sir! Gone too soon.''

Srinivasa Murthy's voice has a separate fan base. He has dubbed not just Tamil and Malayalam superstars but also Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Hrthik Roshan. He earned a special recognition by dubbing the hero roles in many movies including 'Singam', 'Aparichitudu', 'Veerudokkade' and 'Janatha Garage'. Srinivasa Murthy has dubbed over a thousand of Hollywood and Bollywood movies into southern regional languages, especially Telugu. His hard work and dedication earned him many awards including the Nandi Award for Best Male Dubbing Artist in 1998 for the Telugu film Shivayya.
