Much to everyone’s shock, popular Hindi actor
Sushant Singh Rajput has been found dead at his Bandra residence in Mumbai on Sunday morning. The 34-year-old actor was hanging from a ceiling fan at his home and a domestic help alerted the police. While initial reports from the cops claim that the ‘Kedarnath’ actor was suffering from depression for the past six months, his friends who were present at the spot told Aaj Tak that the reason behind this extreme step is depression.
No suicide note has been recovered yet from the team of Bandra Police and the probe is on.
After enjoying a successful stint on Television, Sushant Singh Rajput made his silver screen debut with Kai Po Che! in 2013 and enjoyed continued success with films like Shuddh Desi Romance and PK. His portrayal as MS Dhoni in the latter’s biopic titled ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’ received big accolades from both the critics and common audience. In 2019, he was seen in films like Sonchiriya, Chhichhore and Drive. Recently, Sushant’s ex-manager Disha Salian also committed suicide by jumping from a building.
Shell-shocked by the unfortunate happening, several celebrities from both Bollywood and regional cinema have been pouring their condolences to the talented actor on social media.
