Team Uppena thanks audience for receiving the film well

Debutant director Buchi Babu Sana’s Panja Vaisshnav Tej, Krithi Shetty and Vijay Sethupathi starrer Uppena hit screens on Friday and has received good response from critics and audience alike.
The film’s team is on cloud nine and while they have always been confident about the film’s content, they state that the audience response is making them happy. Talking to the media, director Sukumar, whose associate Buchi was, said, “The response feels like a tsunami and there are such positive vibes coming in from everywhere.I feel proud and elated that my student has achieved this. I always used to call him ‘orey Buchi’ but after watching this film I have newfound respect for him. I cannot believe he has learnt so much, I wish him a great future.”
Apart from Sukumar, the entire team thanked the audience for making the film a huge success. The production house wrote, “సముద్రమంత మీ ప్రేమకి ధన్యవాదాలు.” (Thanks for the ocean of love.) Uppena tells the love story of Aasi and Bebamma, played by Vaisshnav and Krithi while Vijay’s character is the antagonist of the tale. It remains to be seen how the film will fare at the box office in the coming days.
