He made his directorial debut with 'Santhanam' in 1984 and subsequently directed 'Na Peru Durga,' 'Pralayam,' ' Preminchi Choodu, and 'Raitu Bharatham.' He has usually acknowledged Mohan Babu as the one who helped him become a director.
