Times 'Peddi' star Ram Charan proved to be a family man: 'I don’t want to miss a single moment with my daughter, Klin'

Ram Charan, the ‘Peddi’ star, has always been vocal about his love for his family, especially after welcoming children into his life and stepping into the role of fatherhood. Prioritising family and keeping the work opportunities surrounding the members, the 41-year-old has vowed not to miss any important moment.

Born on March 27, 1985, the superstar is the son of a megastar, Chiranjeevi, and his wife, Surekha Konidala. Being the husband to Upasana Kamineni Konidela after tying the knot in 2014, the duo shares three children. Let’s take a look at the times Ram Charan proved to be a charming family man.

On Father’s Day in 2024, Ram Charan opened up about how he feels having a new member in the house during an interview with ETimes. The ‘RRR’ actor shared that for the first six months, he was just taking in the responsibility of being the father. However, he soon started to feel that he wanted to spend all his time with his daughter.

“I will plan my schedule around her, at least till the time she starts school. I don’t want to miss a single moment with Klin. I have worked hard for 15 years, and now I want to be back home by 6 pm,” he said, before adding, “I tell my producers that this is how it is going to be. When I see her, my heart lights up. I just don’t feel like going to work. I don’t even let her go for a shower in the morning. I’m like, what, babies don’t need a shower! I’m that addicted to her.” Moreover, he shared that his favourite activity was to feed her and read books.

Calling his family his ‘heartbeat,’ Ram Charan shared that he likes to be the rough kind of father who lets children take risks. “The one who lets them jump, play dirty, climb, and take risks. Their mother is the nurturing pole; I’m the one they come to when they want courage,” he said during an interview with Esquire India.

Furthermore, the ‘Yevadu’ actor claimed that he learned his lessons after watching his parents while he was growing up. “The biggest lesson we learn is from observing our parents. And I want to be a very, very present person first. And I want to be a present father. My pets and my core family… they’re my unit. I try to keep my world a little small, contained,” he heartwarmingly said.

When Ram Charan was asked about the qualities he still admired about his father at such an age during an interview with ETimes, he said, “His dedication to work. I am so lazy and sometimes will go as late as 9 am to shoot. Dad is up at 5 am, and his first shot happens till 7.15 till today. Throughout his career, I don't know how he did that. He is so disciplined, even at 60.”

Furthermore, Ram Charan applauded his father, Chiranjeevi, for committing his family and dedicating his life. “Another quality of his is his commitment to his family. We have about 75 people in our family, and for every member, the central point is my dad. I am not able to be a focal point for even five members in my house, and he is for 75,” he stated.

Upasana Kamineni Konidala has praised Ram Charan for being a family man and prioritising his family. Showcasing how the superstar works in his home as well, she wrote in her caption, “My man is a REAL MAN who believes in an equal relationship 👌👍🏼. Women are not glorified maids anymore.
