Tom Hiddleston names SS Rajamouli as dream collaboration; Calls ‘RRR’ director “Excellent”

Actor Tom Hiddleston, who is recently seen in the ongoing spy thriller ‘The Night Manager’ Season 2’ recently shared his thoughts when asked about dream collaborations. The ‘Avenger’ actor took no time to mention the name of ‘Baahubali’ and ‘RRR’s captain of the ship, SS Rajamouli.He was speaking with Hollywood Reporter India. During the conversation, Tom was asked who he would like to work with in the future. At first, the actor paused and said, "I have to think about that one." Soon after, filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s name was suggested to him. Tom reacted quickly and simply replied with "excellent."SS Rajamouli is one of the most popular filmmakers from India. His recent film was the 2022 Telugu-language epic period action drama ‘RRR’. The film starred NTR Jr, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, and Ajay Devgn. ‘RRR’ became famous across the world and brought Indian cinema to global audiences. The film’s scale, emotions, and action were loved by many. Film’s song ‘Nattu Nattu’ won the prestigious Oscar for Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards (2023). Tom Hiddleston is currently seen in the spy action thriller ‘The Night Manager’ Season 2. The show is getting a strong response from viewers. Tom plays a serious and intense role in the series. Speaking about SS Rajamouli’s upcoming project, the filmmaker is currently working on his next magnum opus, which will be an adventure thriller, ‘Varanasi’ said to be made on a budget of Rs 1300 crore. The film features Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu in the lead as Rudra. It also includes global icon Priyanka Chopra as Mandakini, the female lead and Prithiviraj Sukumar as Kumbha, playing the main antagonist of the film.The film is also expected to include some international actors and is currently in the shooting stage.It is set to hit the big screens during the summer of 2027.
