Tovino Thomas and Rukmini Vasanth to join NTR-NEEL film: reports

Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel are collaborating for their next big project which is tentatively named, 'NTRNEEL' and rumoured to be titled, 'Dragon'. With the film currently in the pre-production phase, speculation arises about the potential cast members joining the project. There are rumours about several notable actors potentially joining the cast.
As per an OTTPlay report, the makers are considering casting Tovino Thomas. He has hinted at his interest in entering Telugu cinema during a recent event. If confirmed, this would mark Tovino's debut alongside Jr NTR.
Additionally, Rukmini Vasanth is set to make her Telugu debut with this film, while Biju Menon will return to Telugu cinema after a long hiatus since his roles in 'Ranam' and 'Khatarnak' back in 2006.
Tovino Thomas's latest release 'Identity' is currently performing well in the theatres. On the other hand, Rukmini Vasanth was last seen in the Kannada action thriller, 'Bagheera' which was also written by Prashanth Neel.

The film marks a significant collaboration between Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel, known for his successful work on the 'KGF' series and 'Salaar'. The project began with a formal pooja ceremony earlier in 2024, and production is expected to kick off soon, with Jr NTR anticipated to join the sets in January 2025. The release date has been confirmed for January 9, 2026, making it one of the most anticipated films in Telugu cinema.
Meanwhile, Jr NTR who enjoyed the success of his 2024 blockbuster, 'Devara: Part 1' is now working on his Bollywood debut in the action spy film, 'War 2' co-starring with Hrithik Roshan. On the other hand, Prashanth Neel also has multiple projects in his pipeline including, 'Salaar 2' and 'KGF 3'.
