Trisha to play a village belle

Trisha has signed her first Tamil film post her engagement with Varun Manian. Incidentally, few weeks ago, the actress herself had stated that she had no plans to hang up her boots post her wedding and that she would be signing three films this year.
The actress will soon be playing the role of a village belle in a Tamil film to be directed by Thiru and Jai is playing the lead role.���Trisha was bowled over by the characterisation which Thiru had etched for her and she immediately agreed to do the film.
Thiru and Trisha had worked together a couple of years ago for Samar and they share a good equation,��� a source said. The film is expected to go on floors in March and it���ll be shot in Chennai and Kumbakonnam.
