Vedhika goes rustic for Bala

Actress Vedhika Kumar���s new rustic look in director Bala���s next flick has been getting her a lot of attention off late. She is playing a village belle in the Tamil-Telugu bilingual Paradesi. The movie is inspired by the novel Red Tea, which is based on the hardships faced by the plantation workers in Tamil Nadu.
���Director Bala just took the inspiration from the novel but the movie isn���t an adaptation of the novel.I play a very rustic character. It���s been a terrific experience working with Bala. Also playing a character set in pre-independent India has been a great experience,��� she shares.
Adharva is playing the lead in the film that will be releasing in Telugu as well. Her last Telugu release was Daggaraga Dooranga which turned out to be a dud at the BO. The actress seems to be happy doing Tamil films for now. ���I have been getting interesting offers in Tamil so that's taking up most of my time. I am in talks with a couple of filmmakers but there is nothing concrete yet,��� she says.
