Director K. Vijay Bhaskar, who delivered Telugu blockbusters such as Nuvvu Naku Nachav and Malliswari with actor Victory Venkatesh, hopes to score a hat-trick with Masala which released on Thursday.
A Telugu remake of Hindi comedy Bol Bachchan, the film opened to a positive talk.
"My films are known for providing wholesome entertainment and even though 'Masala' is a remake, I have made it as entertaining as possible. It's my third film with Venkatesh and our combination has always resulted in a hit. I hope it continues with this film too," Bhaskar said adding, "Comedy has been an integral part of all my films. I believe audiences deserve to be entertained for the money they shell out. Therefore, I give equal importance to comedy in my films."
Vijay Bhaskar has tasted success with remakes earlier in his career with films like Classmates and Bhale Dongalu and is hoping the audiences will like Masala as well.
Masala, co-produced by Suresh Babu and Sravanti Ravi Kishore, also features
Anjali, Ram and Shazahn Padamsee in important roles. It is a very important film for Venkatesh and Ram as they are desperately seeking a hit after flops such as Shadow and Ongole Githa, respectively.
