Eminent theater personality and film actor Vankayala Satyanarayana passed away in
Visakhapatnam on Monday. Vankayala was 78 years old when he breathed his last.
The actor was very active in Vizag theater circles and was in fact expected to stage a play on March 17 and 23 in Kakinada. Many remember him fondly for his mesmerizing voice and expressions. He began his film journey with the film 'Needaleni Aadadhi' and became famous especially after his role as a station master in 'Seethamaalaxmi'.
Other notable films of the veteran actor include ‘Sagara Sangamam’, ‘Suthradarulu,’ ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam,’ ‘Subhalekha’ among many others.
Mr. Vankayala is deeply mourned by Telugu Artistes’ Federation, Vijayawada Cultural Organisation, Geetanjali Arts.
