Bhagyashree who was introduced alongside
Salman Khan in the cult romantic film "Maine Pyar Kiya" ("Premapavuralu" in Telugu) had touched the hearts of the Telugu audience long ago. Later she acted as Balakrishna's younger sister in "Yuvaratna Rana" starring and in the movie "Omkaram" starring Rajasekhar, as the heroine.
Now, about two decades later, she is making her come back to Tollywood with "Radheshyam".
In this context, talking to the media about the same Bhagyashree reportedly said that for the first time when she thought to do movies again, the directors of ‘Thalaivi’ and ‘Radhe Shyam’ had approached her but though both the films began parallelly, "Radhe Shyam" was delayed due to the pandemic.
She also feels, also reported, very happy as she is the on-screen mother to Pan-India star Prabhas in the movie.
She also reportedly said that Prabhas is a great actor with lots of craze and fandom in India but he easily gels with others and she felt at home when he is on the film sets.
UV Creations has made the project with good production values and shot without compromising on anything. The producers had reportedly taken good care of her although it was freezing cold in Georgia, she added.
She also reportedly said that she did movies after "Maine Pyar Kia". But had to get married as she felt family bonding would be good if she gets married early. Then she stayed away from movies as she was busy with her family life. Now since her kids have grown up and they encourage her to do movies, she is back to the film sets.
She reportedly says that she likes the Telugu film industry a lot, as Bollywood & everyone in the country look towards Telugu and Tamil film industries these days due to the kind of films they are producing. She also reportedly welcomes filmmakers with not just mother characters but other characters that have scope to perform as well in Telugu.
