Vijay Deverakonda, who is awaiting the release of his upcoming film 'Kingdom', recently opened up about how his priorities in life have shifted over the past few years.
In a candid chat with Cinema Vikatan, the actor got personal and shared how he now makes a conscious effort to spend more time with his loved ones, including his parents, friends, and his girlfriend. "Over the past two years, I’ve matured a lot. I’ve learned what it truly means to live—and for me, relationships now come before everything else." he said, adding that earlier he wasn’t as mindful of how he was spending his time.
Looking back, Vijay admitted that he wasn’t happy with how things went in the last couple of years. "I hadn’t spent enough time with my mom, dad, girlfriend, or friends. And then one day, it just hit me—I didn’t want to carry that regret anymore." he shared. Since then, he’s tried to make deliberate efforts to be there for his people. “I make time for my friends, I make time for my mum and dad, for my relationships,” he added.

Gearing up for 'Kingdom'
On the work front, Vijay Deverakonda is all set to return to the big screen with 'Kingdom', which hits theatres on July 31, 2025. After his last outing 'The Family Star' didn’t fare well at the box office, all eyes are now on this new film.
Set in the backdrop of the post-Independence Sinhala-Tamil conflict, 'Kingdom' traces the story of a man rising to lead his people amid rising tensions. The trailer is set to launch on July 26 at Nehru Municipal Ground in Tirupati, where a massive 40-foot cutout of Vijay has already gone up.
