Despite critical acclaim and positive word-of-mouth, the first part of NTR biopic ‘Kathanayakudu’ failed to rake in decent moolah at the box-office. Released on January 9th, the theatrical rights of the Krish directorial were sold at a hefty price of Rs 70 crore. Aware of the losses incurred, Balayya Babu decided to compensate the distributors by giving away the theatrical rights of NTR Mahanayakudu for free.Slated for a massive release on February 22, Rana Daggubati is expected to play a bigger part in the sequel as NTR’s son-in-law Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
Instead of completely focussing on the Nandamuri scion, Krish took a vital decision to also promote Rana as the face of the film. The making video of the Daggubati scion as CBN has just released and the handsome hunk looks every bit like the younger version of the current Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
While the first half of the clip showcased the behind-the-scenes make-up process, the later part displayed an intense Rana warning the MLAs in front of the assembly. MM Keeravani’s background music is riveting and this video is certain to raise the expectations on Mahanayakudu.
