Who is Konda Surekha? Here's all you need to know about her remarks on Samantha Ruth Prabhu-Naga Chaitanya divorce

Konda Surekha has been making the headlines for the past 24 hours for all the wrong reasons. The Congress political leader who is now serving as the Cabinet Minister for Forest and Environment, and Endowments in the Government of Telangana made serious allegations against Samantha, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya.
What did Konda Surekha say?
In a fiery speech on October 2, the politician claimed that the BRS leader KT Rama Rao aka KTR made a deal with Nagarjuna before he demolished the N Convention centre which is partly owned by the actor.She alleged that the recent drug rave parties had involvement of the leader and added that it was because of him that actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu and actor Naga Chaitanya separated and got a divorce. Reacting to her statement, the entire Telugu film industry is against her and has condemned her statement .
Konda Surekha made derogatory statements against Samantha and the Akkineni family. She also alleged that many actresses career were cut short because of KTR's involvement in their personal life. In her statement, she claimed that KTR asked for sexua favours from Samantha in turn to not demolish their co-owned property and stated that when Samantha disagreed it caused her a drift between the family which led to her divorce with Naga Chaitanya.
Konda Surekha also mentioned that it was because of KTR that actress Rakul Preet Singh also decided to get married early. Her unverified statements made netizens and Telugu industry stars very angry and all took to social media to condemn her speech.
How did the Akkinenei family react?
Actor Nagarjuna has taken a legal action against the political leader for her baseless and false allegations made by Konda Surekha. Taking to X, Nagarjuna said, "I strongly condemn the comments of Honourable Minister Mrs Konda Surekha. Don't use the lives of movie stars who stay away from politics to criticise your opponents. Please respect other people's privacy. As a woman in a responsible position, your comments and accusations against our family are completely irrelevant and false. I request you to withdraw your comments immediately."
Amala Akkineni also expressed her displeasure and called Surekha a 'demon'. Her statement on X read, "Shocked to hear a woman minister turn into a demon, conjuring evil fictions allegations, preying on decent citizens as fuel for a political war. Madam Minister, do you rely and believe people with no decency to feed you utterly scandalous stories about my husband without an iota of shame or truth? This is really shameful. If leaders lower themselves into the gutter and behave like criminals, what will happen to our country? Mr Rahul Gandhiji, if you believe in human decency, please restrain your politicians and make your minister retract her venomous statements with an apology to my family. Protect the citizens of this country."
