RGV brushes off rumours about the pre-release business of Nagarjuna and Myra Sareen starrer 'Officer'

There has been a lot of buzz around Ram Gopal Varma and Nagarjuna’s upcoming venture ‘Officer’ that sees Myra Sareen as the female lead.
Apart from the fact that it sees RGV and Nagarjuna come together after a long while, rumours and speculations rose in regards to the film’s pre-release business and as to how much it had raked in already. Ram Gopal Varma however put these speculations to rest by sharing a press note on his social media. It said, “All speculations in regards to both theatrical and non theatrical business of “NAGRGV4” “Officer” are all false. We kindly request Media and few Tollywood Trade Twitter handles not to report these false reports without confirming with us. We are yet to complete our principal photography. Film will be releasing on 25^th of May.” (sic)
Reports stated that a web portal had picked up rights to the film and that the digital rights were sold for a handsome sum. It was also written that most of the budget has been recovered by selling pre-business rights and whatever the filmmakers make from the release of the film will be a bonus. The makers have also clarified that the theatrical rights of the film have not been sold yet, contrary to rumours.
In the film, Nagarjuna and Myra Sareen will be seen playing the roles of cops and touted to be an action thriller, expectations are high on this one.
