The openings have been sensational. it feels great to have scored one of the biggest hits of my career,” says Mahesh, adding, “I thank the people of two Telugu states for all the love they have showered on our film and making this festival extra special.”
Replete with whistle-worthy punch dialogues, paisa vasool gags, lungi dances and more, Mahesh’s histrionics in the film is being compared to his live wire portrayal in Dookudu. “All the credit must go to director Anil Ravipudi for making me comfortable enough to step out of my comfort zone and deliver one of my most uninhibited performances till date,” he says, adding, “The way he managed to weave in old scenes from my father Krishna’s film, Alluri Seetarama Raju, was just mindblowing.”
The actor is overwhelmed with the accolades coming his way. “I’ve received so many compliments for my dancing in the number Mind Block. It has become a rage with my fans. And of course, the Army episode from the beginning of the film is also one of the highlights and much-loved. All I hope for this Sankranthi is that my fans keep
showering love on me like they do now,” he says, rounding off.
