Music composer Devi Sri Prasad keeps his promise to Minister KTR

Music composer Devi Sri Prasad kept his promise to Telangana Minister KTR by bringing a rural singer from the state to the forefront.
Singer Shravani became an overnight sensation on social media when her rendition of Relare Relare went viral. DSP had then promised that he will showcase her talent on a television show. On Friday, the composer shared pictures of Shravani singing on stage and wrote, “I kept up my promise Dear @KTRTRS sir Located d Talented singer #SHARVANI frm NARAINGI, MEDAK..dat U tweeted about..We Flew her down 2 CHENNAI n featured her in d #LIMELIGHT ROUND of our #StarToRockstar. She Rocked. (sic)” Minister KTR lauded Devi by calling it a great gesture. The show will be aired on a Tamil channel soon.

Last month, a person named Surendra Tipparaju shared a video of Shravani singing the song on social media media. Minister KTR noticed it and responded by saying “Talent indeed”. He further tagged composers DSP and Thaman S, asking them to check out the video. Rockstar DSP was also impressed by her talent. The song Relare Relare was made popular by Komali but many have made their own covers later on. Saranga Dariya from Sekhar Kammula’s Love Story was also popularised by Komali before Mangli sung it for the film.
