Thipparaa Meesam movie review highlights: A tale of addiction and Mani
Krishna Vijay L's Thipparaa Meesam, starring Sree Vishnu and Nikki Tamboli in lead roles hit screens today.
The film is an experimental one telling the tale of Mani Shankar (Sree Vishnu), who shares an uncomfortable relationship with his mother Lalita (Rohini). He doesn't just bet on cricket matches, he even participates in illegal games to earn quick bucks, apart from working as a DJ.

Even when Mounika (Nikki Tamboli), a police aspirant, enters his life, there's little he does to change.
The first half of the film has some beautiful frames with Krishna experimenting not just with colour but also his choice of frames for the scenes. Even as Mani hits a new low right before the interval, Sree Vishnu pours life into the role, pulling off the careless attitude with ease. Rohini too does well in the screen time she has while Nikki does a good enough job with a character that doesn't give her much scope to perform. But, the scenes drag at times with Mani's woe-is-me attitude not helping matters. It's also hard to invest in any of the characters.
While the first half doesn't always work, it remains to be seen if Krishna will manage to pull off this tale
