Music Review: Tenali Ramakrishna BA BL
Album:
Genre: Tollywood
Directed by G Nageswar Reddy,
First up is the Ramakrishna Tenali title number, with Sai Madhav’s vocals. This is a typical Tollywood intro number that has nothing much to offer. Sai Madhav’s overtly auto-tuned vocals, the subpar lyrics and instrumentation don’t help matters either. The lyrics do however offer a glimpse into the kind of character the protagonist is.
Kurnoolu Katthiva with Dhanunjay’s vocals follows in the same vein. Be it the vocals, music or the lyrics which talk of the protagonist’s love for his girl and her beauty, nothing stands out. It is a plain okay number that doesn’t have anything new to offer, sounding like any other Tollywood number.
Last on the album is Dathu and Vishnu Priya’s Peechumittai Pillaro, which fares a little better than the previous numbers. The lyrics are still ridiculous, but the vocals, music and tune have a quirky retro touch to them, making it a fun listen. Dathu and Vishnu Priya’s vocals in particular work to elevate this number, setting it a little apart from the rest.

Tenali Ramakrishna
BA BL has an OST consisting of only three numbers. Composed by Sai Karthik and penned by Bhaskarabatla and Chilaka Rekka Ganesh, the music of the Sundeep Kishan-Hansika-starrer is just about average at best, we’re afraid.First up is the Ramakrishna Tenali title number, with Sai Madhav’s vocals. BA BL
is a subpar one, with only PeechumittaiPillaro remotely standing out and still remaining only good enough for a one-time listen. Nothing new to enjoy here!Top Comment
