Despite this achievement, Namukwaya falls short of becoming the oldest woman to give birth to twins, as a 73-year-old woman accomplished this feat in 2019 through IVF treatment.
In a Facebook post, WHI&FC announced the delivery of twins to Africa's oldest mother, ensuring the public that both the mother and the babies are in good health.
Namukwaya revealed to Uganda's Daily Monitor newspaper that her pregnancy faced challenges, exacerbated by her partner abandoning her upon learning she was expecting twins. Despite this hardship, Namukwaya demonstrated resilience, having previously given birth to a baby girl in 2020. She faced societal criticism for being childless even after the birth of her daughter, leading her to pursue additional IVF treatments.

Namukwaya clarified that her motivation for having children wasn't driven by affection but by a sense of necessity. Having cared for others' children as a nanny, she contemplated her future and expressed concern about who would look after her in old age.
