Elon Musk’s estranged trans daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson walks for Gucci at Milan Fashion Week
Under the lights of Milan Fashion Week, Vivian Jenna Wilson stepped onto the Gucci runway in a look that signaled how far her fashion career has moved in just a year.
The 21-year-old wore a white, one-sleeved Gucci gown with a high neckline and a thigh-high slit slicing up one side. The dress came from the house’s new artistic director, Demna, and was paired with glittering pointed-toe heels and a structured silver clutch. Her long blonde hair was worn straight, with one side tucked back behind her shoulder.
She shared the catwalk with industry heavyweights including Kate Moss and Emily Ratajkowski, a lineup that underscored her rapid rise.
Moments after leaving the runway, Wilson captured the mood in her own words. “I just walked for Gucci lmfao,” she wrote on her Instagram story over a makeup-free selfie.
Milan was not her first major fashion milestone. In March last year, she appeared on the cover of Teen Vogue. Two months later, she made her modeling debut in collaboration with Wildfang. In May, she fronted a campaign for the underwear brand Tomboyx, a shoot she later described as personally challenging.
“I was terrified. Before this, I was very much the person who didn't show any skin, ever, at all. Even in my day-to-day, like going to the beach with friends, I would not wear a swimsuit,” she said in an interview with Vanity Fair.
She continued, “So it was very, very nerve-racking, but I wanted to do [the shoot] because I wanted to have more confidence in my own body. I do feel confident in my own body, but I wanted to prove that confidence to myself, if that makes any sense.”
By September, she had made her runway debut at New York Fashion Week, walking in CHRISHABANA’s Spring 2026 show, a stepping stone to the Milan spotlight.
As her visibility has grown, so has public scrutiny. Speaking to The Cut last year, Wilson admitted, “I'm not very good at being famous. It's a skill. I fought so hard for so long to be viewed as a regular person. There was a moment literally right before I became famous where no one knew who I was. It was amazing.”
She added, “Everyone treated me as a regular person. I kind of miss that. But I also like being famous.”
Wilson is the eldest child of Elon Musk and author Justine Musk. She came out as transgender at 16 and later filed to remove Musk from her last name amid their estrangement. Addressing public curiosity about their relationship in a previous Teen Vogue interview, she said, “I don't give a f*** about him. I really don't. It's annoying that people associate me with him. I just don't have any room to care anymore.”
