Samsung to launch Motorola Razr rival in 4 colours
Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Flip, which will take on the Motorola Razr foldable phone, in four colour options. Reports suggest that the Galaxy Z Flip will come in Silver, Purple, Gold and Black. Having said that Samsung will not launch all the four colour options in all markets. The Galaxy Z Flip will be Samsung’s next foldable phone.
The next foldable phone from Samsung will look more like the latest Moto Razr smartphone with a clamshell design and is expected to be launched along with the Galaxy S20 in February 2020.
Interestingly, Samsung is using the same hinge mechanism in the upcoming Galaxy Fold and there is an Infinity-O display to accommodate the front camera. As it’s a clamshell design, Samsung will include a small cover screen as well and at the back there will be a dual cameras.
Samsung, reportedly, has added more strength to the foldable display by adding an ultra-thin glass and plastic protection on top. This is expected to make the Galaxy Z Flip’s display tougher than the Galaxy Fold. In case, the display attracts scratches during usage, the user just needs to get a new plastic layer instead of replacing the entire display. The ultra-thin glass cover will also help avoid the crease that easily appears on the Galaxy Fold.
Apart from the screen protection, the Galaxy Z Flip will be powered by a bigger 3,300mAh battery and will be most likely powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. The device is expected to come with 25W superfast charging support. The information was uncovered in the latest firmware files of One UI, Samsung's Android interface.
Meanwhile, Samsung’s first foldable phone-- Galaxy Fold-- costs Rs 1,64,999 in India. The device comes in one variant only with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It will be available in Cosmos Black colour. As far as the price of the Galaxy Z Flip is concerned, Samsung is expected to price it around $1000 which translates to around Rs 72,000 in India.
