While Nidhi is an airhostess, Amit is a flight purser.
A number of Jet Airways flights were about to depart at the time of the attack. The departure hall, where the blasts took place, was full of a large number of Indians at that time. Being the European hub of Jet, as many as four wide body aircraft of the airline were at the airport at that time which scheduled to fly out to North America and India.
Jet Airways said: “As per initial information, Jet Airways guests in Brussels have been re-located to a safe location by the Brussels Airport authorities. At this time passengers and staff have been cordoned off and are not allowed to access the airport terminals. Jet Airways staff and crew are safe. Two of our staff have been injured and are receiving medical care. Jet Airways is closely monitoring the situation in Brussels."

The Indian carrier will not be flying to Brussels, its European hub, as Jet's website said soon after the attack that "flights departing to and from Brussels stand cancelled till March 26, 2016". Jet was supposed to fly to Brussels till that day only as it is shifting its European hub to Amsterdam from Sunday.
Jet Airways said its aircraft at Brussels airport was safe and that it is "making all efforts to confirm the status of all its staff and guests. As per first information, the Jet Airways aircraft in Brussels are safe.” It cancelled Tuesday's flights from Brussels to Newark, Toronto, Mumbai and Delhi and flights from Newark and Toronto to Brussels. Wednesday's flights from Mumbai and Delhi to Brussels were also cancelled.
With flights in and out of Brussels cancelled, Jet's schedule could take a hit as four of its wide body planes are at that airport.
