Cops say DSP, businessman wife's murders solved

LUDHIANA: In the sensational murder case of DSP Balraj Singh Gill and Monica Kapila, police claimed to have arrested three more accused on Saturday evening. Cops have arrested Hassanjeet Singh, resident of Leehan village; Davinder Pal Singh alias Laddi, resident of Pudain village of Ludhiana and Ravinder Pal Singh alias Rinku of Mangian village of Gurdaspur district.
Police commissioner Ishwar Singh said that during interrogation of Harvinder Singh alias Bindu, Pritpal Singh alias Laddo and Umesh Karda alias Sonu, who were arrested earlier, they collected clues regarding the remaining accused. He said they were involved in illegal sale and purchase of vehicles.
Singh said Davinder Pal made fake registration numberplates of Balraj's sedan and Monica's MUV and did his business on the Hambran Road. Ravinder Pal, Hassanjeet and others took the vehicles to Gurdaspur for sale but failed. Cops claimed that the killings of Balraj Singh Gill and Monica Kapila were solved.
