Hisar byelection: Candidates relax, poll officials get busy

CHANDIGARH: A day after polling for byelection to Hisar parliamentary constituency, where poll percentage crossed 70%, the three heavyweight candidates -- Kuldeep Bishnoi of HJC-BJP combine, Ajay Singh Chautala of INLD and Jai Parkash of Congress -- were back home to relax, while activity could be seen in and around the buildings were the electronic voting machines have been kept.
Hisar deputy commissioner Dr Amit Aggarwal and superintendent of police (SP) Vikas Arora could be seen inspecting security arrangements in and around counting centres, while party activists were making arrangements for their stay during the counting process.

According to a spokesman of Kuldeep Bishnoi camp, He had some urgent meeting at Delhi in the afternoon, hence he left Hisar in the afternoon. He is constantly in touch with supporters as well as family members.'' Meanwhile, the INLD camp revealed that workers had asked Ajay Chautala to relax. He is in constant touch with us. We are in the process of finalizing the names of counting agents,'' an INLD spokesman said.
