Jeweller receives threat letter, two bullets

A jeweller of Rewari town reported having received an extortion letter on Friday. Cops said the extortionist sought Rs 50 lakh, and attached two live cartridges with the letter.

ROHTAK: A jeweller of Rewari town reported having received an extortion letter on Friday. Cops said the extortionist sought Rs 50 lakh, and attached two live cartridges with the letter.
Two recent loots had sent shockwaves in town, and this new happening has troubled the traders more. According to information, owner of a jewellery showroom - New Marwari Art - in Sarafa market, Jagdesh Kumar, told the cops that he discovered a packet in the morning on arriving at his workplace, and found two live cartridges with the letter.

Sources said life threats were issued to the jeweller is he fails to pay Rs 50 lakh to some SJ gang, as mentioned in the letter. SP Rewari Vikas Arora said, "Investigation is on. Protection shall be provided to the traders, and the extortionist would be caught soon."
